RSS - Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary is a simple XML-based system that allows users to subscribe to their favorite websites. Using RSS, a webmaster can put their content into a standardised format, which can be viewed and organised through a RSS-aware software.
SMS - Short Message Service, abbreviated as SMS is the transmission of short text messages to and from a mobile phone, fax machine and/or IP address. Messages must be no longer than 160 alphanumeric characters and contain no images or graphics.
Spam - Unsolicited commercial email.
Spam Act 2004 - Australian legislation designed to minimise Spam.
Spam Filter - Software used to redirect unsolicited email away from a users inbox.
Third Generation (3G) - 3G is a short term for third-generation wireless and refers to near-future developments in personal and business wireless technology, especially mobile communication.
URL - Uniform Resource Locator (world wide web address).
Web 2.0 - Refers to a second-generation of Internet-based services - such as social networking sites, wikis, communication tools, and folksonomies - that let people collaborate and share information online in ways previously unavailable.
